Pretty buildings, but the education is a joke. I attended a CC and MSU courses don't match up. The new entrepreneurship center teaches you nothing, but the classes are fun. Many professors don't speak English well. MSU is mostly a commuter school, so parking is an absolute nightmare. I've missed more classes than I can count, because I couldn't get parking.

I transferred here thinking I would have aAverageNutrition
I transferred here thinking I would have a worthy new college beginning but was wrong. There are barely ANYYYYY activities here. The clubs meet at VERYYYYYodd hours like 11:30 pm making it almost IMPOSSIBLE for transfer students to feel safe on and off campus or all meet at the same time and day so it gets very hard to get involved. I asked the chairperson of the art department a question on switching majors into one of the art majors and she was not having it. She was so rude, cold and bitchy to me on the phone and was speechless like "how dare I ask such a stupid question...." Anyhow the staff here can be SO rude and DIFFICULT to communicate with. People here need to prepare hard what they are gonna say.

Transferred here from CCM where I had a much better experience all around. From faculty/advisor accessibility, to financial aid to parking, Montclair State has fallen way below my expectations in every area. To get anything accomplished, you must email 10 different staff members, only to be told at the end that there is nothing that can be done to help you. Financial aid is a JOKE. I came to MSU with a 3.89 GPA and now an averaging a 3.85 and have not received a single cent of merit aid. Overall, I really regret my decision to transfer here. I hope my remaining 3 semesters fly by, because MSU is a disaster.
