Of course you won't have Nobel Prize winners or acclaimed authors as your teachers, but with the cost of tuition I'm sure most would be satisfied. I wish I could share the same sentiment about the student body, alot of people have an elitist mentality here, as if they feel they're too cool to be here. I suppose it's like this at any school though. The scholastic environment is pretty laid back for the most part, and it's not difficult to get A's in the majority of the classes uncontested. Most of the teachers are very approachable and willing to work with you. I still have one more year left,but I don't regret coming here at all, plus I'm saving a load of money for wherever I plan to attend the other 2 years.Definitely recommend it. The first two years is tough no matter where you go so expect to be challenged. The best thing about OCC is the Prof's in the Engineering/Science Dept. are always accessible and willing to help. Also, have to sign letter of Intent each semester for the nursing program or have to start all over on waiting list, wish somebody had told me. Dr. Bradley's A & P classes are excellent, you actually learn instead of just memorizing. Perceived Campus Safety: A-, Individual Value: F Have a Question?
