Here's my expereince with taking clases at Rutgers.Average
Here's my expereince with taking clases at Rutgers. I watched my alumnae support a fact proven rapist thatthey be given "special immunity" as their alcohol and meds should be given them justifiable excues for their rape and theft. Just dont believe the school is on par with the Princetons and Ivys of the world, especially when one of the chain speakers told us to " blow our concerns out our as# (enequote) when sought for advice. "Have to want a job was another good one." Rutgers grads are in their own bubble and world sometimes. Graded down on a pre selected reading that talks about racial opporession when the school had a speech that it is donating proceeds to land area captured by emminet domain rule and abuse. Lesrned much from the place neither will any of our reltives stroll there. Great entertainment scene at Mickle!

Question
Class schedules are notBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Class schedules are not very flexible and not at all organized. They have a useless "free period". The parking situation is insane which is normal for most campuses but you have to park blocks away in a bad neighborhood. Cafe food is too expensive and quality is low.

Question
I graduated in 1990-I transferred there and attendedQuite BrightArt & Design Department
I graduated in 1990-I transferred there and attended for 2 years. I had applied to New Brunswick, but ended up in Camden. I had a good experience at Rutgers-Camden. I had two great internships in Philly one at a museum and one at a gallery, and went on a study trip to Italy. There was a lot of individual attention and support from faculty.

At that time, there wasn't enough housing so I lived in Philly and commuted each day to school which was hard-but I had a cheap shared house. The surrounding area was pretty rough then-Its improved but just be aware of that. One night I came back from Philly and missed the local stop and had to walk through pimps and hookers, crack dealers etc. to get back to my house. Nothing bad happened-but it wasn't pleasant.Hopefully things have improved-since the '80s with the Aquarium and other improvements.

The majority of students were commuter students from S. Jersey which in general were a little different culturally than N.Jersey where I'm from.

I enjoyed the courses-they were pretty demanding and interesting. Summer classes were a little depressing though-being in a poor city with not much to do, and the place is emptier. Things may have changed since I was there-but if you want to get a solid education I would recommend it; you have smaller classes and more of an individualized experience. You will also get on the mailing list for life and be able to participate in the excellent Alumni benefits.
