Sure, it's not in a city, and there's not a whole lot to do in the way of big-name events, but the air is clear, and waterfalls abound, and there are none of the soul-killing, depressing sights of the big city. Faculty are first-rate, bars are good (check out the Chapter House), and libraries are fantastic. Lots of work? Sure, I suppose, but you learn the material. Sure, the kids from Long Island tend to be a bit too predictable after a time, but the beauty of this place is that it is so large, you can shape it into whatever you want it to feel like. If you want to do research all the time, you can. If you want to play frisbee on the Arts QUad all day you can. If you want to be all intelectual and culturally adept, you can. That is the beauty of Cornell. Not to mention that the profs are excellent, the geography is gorgeous, and that CORNELL HOCKEY ROCKS.
