Cornell is truly a wonderful place.Quite BrightNatural Resources
Cornell is truly a wonderful place. I couldn't be happier anywhere else. The campus is beautiful, there is always something interesting going on, and the school itself is just a great place. Although Cornell I huge, you don't feel like a number. Your close to people in your Major, Dorm, etc. Instead, all the people are great. There's always a new interesting person. The only problem I am having with Cornell involves requirements. Many people sympathize with me. All the Natural Resources classes are out of this world. Every Professor is simply awesome. The only problem is that requirements outside of the major can be tedious and boring.

As you read these comments, keep in mindQuite BrightHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
As you read these comments, keep in mind that Cornell isn't one college, even at the undergraduate level. It's a group of separate colleges and schools, each with its own unique personality. In one of the schools, the students are mostly female, in another they're almost all male, two others are popular with international students and an another most of the students seem to be from Long Island. Some are extremely selective, some brutally tough, some are both, and some are neither. Even within a particular school, Cornell is what you make it. If you do your work, reach out to profs and others who can help you, and make a point of getting involved in an activity that you love, you'll do well, make friends, and have fun. If you don't do those things, you won't do well and won't have fun either. It's as simple as that. This is not a good university for a person who needs a lot of help figuring out what to do with his life, setting goals and priorities, vetting friends, and generally making choices. But it's a good place for a mature young adult who has the self-discipline necessary to seize opportunities and have a lot of fun along the way.

This is a great school in that it teaches you alot about not only your major but working in general. I'm not just talking about career services, either. Through the academic program you will learn to work your ass off like no other, and with your friends by your side you may even enjoy it. I definitely feel better equipped to handle the real world than I think I would've been had I gone to some fake school like Harvard. The only reason I said I'd go to a different university is because I would've liked to have gone to MIT just to have been in Boston. I would've preferred the city over rural Ithaca.
