Although Colgate certainly has its downfalls, as all institutions do, my three years in Hamilton changed my life more than i could have ever imagined. After transfering from a very competitive state school, Colgate made every effort to assimilate us into the school culture. The procrastination that dominated the first two months of every semister led to a very enjoyable social scene. Although the party scene is becoming more subdued, the social life still tops other top 25 schools. The faculty provided all the tools to excel yet were defiant on their beliefs. The winters were brutal but the fall and spring were amazing. Studying abroad through Colgate is the best decision you could make. I couldn't imagine spending a more incredible three years anywhere, even if it was expensive.

I personally love Colgate. Though there most of the students here are rich, snooty, and preppy, everyone is welcoming and friendly. It is very tough academically. People are very competitive. However, as the Colgate motto goes "We work hard and play hard." The social life at Colgate is very entertaining. Though there are only four bars and two clubs in town, frats and student organizations provide many different social atmospheres. There are only 2800 students at Colgater so it's not too big or too small. Drinking is big on Campus but that's what one must do to relieve the stress of much work. If you have the opportunity to come to Colgate pursue it. Colgate is a fun yet challenging place and will provide you with the total tv college experience.
