I have enjoyed my time at Cochran SchoolQuite BrightNursing
I have enjoyed my time at Cochran School of nursing. I find the staff to be very personable, one of the great things about a small private institution is you're not just a number. The school has high grading standards. Passing is 80% or above. No exceptions. But it's doable and I love the challenge. Keeps me young ;-). I do feel the school works well for second career students. Older students and I still find time for my family and friends when needed. This is a hospital based program, so don't expect beautiful grounds, also don't expect a huge campus social life. People come to school and go to work or home.. But u make wonderful friends in lecture and clinical. The clinical experience for the day students seems to get more experience, which is wonderful and helps with understanding topics. Overall I love the school and am excited to continue.

Question
I would advise any one thinking of goingQuite BrightNursing
I would advise any one thinking of going to this school to go somewhere else. Most of the staff are rude not helpful and a couple of the teachers are very discouraging and tell students that they will not pass especially students with full times jobs. The school is very expensive and with all the money being paid they do not have any resources available for the students especially evening students. i have to say that there are alot of wonderful teachers and staff members that are helpful but the bad experiences overshadow the good ones. i decideed to go to this school bc it was convenient but i wish i would have gone else where. They change their policies constantly and its hard to keep up with these changes. Please dont go here. Its not worth the money.

Question
Do not go to cochran school of nursingBrightNursing
Do not go to cochran school of nursing run, and I mean run as far as you can run. Let it be your very last resort. I wouldn't recommend this school to my worse enemy. The communication is horrible, the professors teach straight from the power point, and you can study until you are blue in the face and still fail. The answer the professor gave you in the class can be a totally different answer on the test and one that you did not learn. You have absolutely no where to go for help many of the professors are unapproachable. They give the impression that they want you to fail. They are very racist at that school, and the higher ups have been found laughing at students grades. You are basically teaching yourself and the tests are very tricky. You could have been a 4.0 student in college but when you come to cochran that equals to a c if you're lucky. I tell you don't even waste your time filling out an application for this school because those who have made it Just made it. Cuz ur GPA will be shot when you leave!!!!!! Run!
