 | Quite Bright | | Where should I even start? The campus is not just shabby--it's disgusting. I've had to get up during lecture to kill roaches, there was a wounded pigeon trapped in the windowpane during one lecture that was dying and the school refused to put the thing out of it's misery. The bathrooms are beyond foul and I see roaches in there often. And the science classrooms and labs look like they haven't been updated since the cold war--don't be suprized if you find broken glassware in your lab drawers from other students, they don't care if you get hurt. The school of nursing is just awful, through and through. The staff are completely dishonest and will tell you that you have a chance of getting in even though the waitlist can be years. If you don't have a 3.6 or above, don't bother. And if you do get in good luck getting into the classes you need--I was shut out of prerequisites every single semester despite having advanced standing.Horrible--so many stories about poor treatment, terrible administration, etc... Be careful, and go elsewhere if you can afford it. | Surrounding City: A+, Education Quality: F | | | |

| | Average | Well i guess you get what u pay for, tuition for instate students is not high at all, there for the school is super crowded, there is always traffic of ppl on escalators, administration is not helpful at all, they never do any exceptions, if u need smth u simply have to follow rules, if mess up it is ur problem, nobody cares, administration treats u like they r very smart and u are pretty stupid for not knowing simple things. I did have good professors though, some of them very helpful, but some of them are just aweful, probably like in most other schools. But the thing is school and administration does not care if u dont likesmth about school and want to transfer, I guess Hunter has so many students and loosing one or two does not make any difference to school, if u are looking for helpful staff i dontrecommend this school, try out maybe other cuny school if u r looking for affordable tuition, maybe others better than Hunter | Scholastic Success: A+, Faculty Accessibility: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | I LOVE Hunter. If you're looking for a typically "college experience" with fraternities and sororities and ra ra ra, its not the place for you. If you want to be challenged, if you want to think, if you want more than a piece of paper that says you've completed college, if you're on a budget and want to meet people from diverse backgrounds, consider Hunter. People say students are "antisocial". I have never found this to be the case, but I'd say that people come here to work hard and learn. I've had amazing teachers at Hunter, I would not go anywhere else. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Campus Aesthetics: D | | | |
