I attended QC in the late 1970's.Computer Science
I attended QC in the late 1970's. It was a very good school for students that did not have a lot of money or connections. You received an excellent education and the campus was quite diverse. Many considered QC along with Brooklyn and City colleges the crowned jewels of the CUNY system and the poor man's version of the ivy leauge.

This school has a good core of Professors. Many play safe wih regards to strong personal opinions for fear of antagonizing any one ethnic group. It can be compared to a mini UN since it is quite diverse.

Question
Queens College is considered the crown jewel ofSuper BrilliantPolitical Science
Queens College is considered the crown jewel of the CUNY system and has recently upgraded its admissions to "selective." The faculty are world-class coming from Harvard, Princeton, Yale, etc. and the work is just as challenging as if you were attending one of those schools. CUNY tends to get a bad reputation, but Queens College is on par with the top schools in the nation. Definitely recommended!
