Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Faculty are not very helpful.AverageBusiness - Management and Administration
Faculty are not very helpful. I feel like they are there only to get a paycheck, not to see that their students succeed and do well in their courses. Also the activities & night-life are non-existent. As others have stated, not nearly enough parking, Dorms are quite dumpy and most of the buildings are dirty and not well maintained. It actually feels much like a rundown high school atmosphere. I would definitely suggest looking elsewhere. This place reeks to high heaven.

Question
Just an awful school. Not so bright
Just an awful school. The professors are arrogant and don't really care whether you succeed or fail. In fact, I have heard that some instructors go out of their way to screw students so they have to repeat the course and pay more tuition costs, which are outrageous as they already are. Also, this school is located in Amherst NY, which always claims it's one of America's safest cities. This is FALSE! There have been numerous rapes, burglaries, robberies, larcenies, violence, drug offenses and sexual assaults on and around this campus for years. They just don't report most of them to the media outlets. They hush it up to make it look safe. I personally know 2 female friends of mine that were raped and sexually assaulted on campus and basically nothing was done about it. They hushed them up and never found the perp. I do NOT feel safe here but I'm stuck here for several more years.

Question
I am a PT student and am VERYBrightPhysical Therapy/Exercise Science
I am a PT student and am VERY dissatisfied with the instructors, the maintenance and cleanliness of the buildings and grounds, the maintenance personal most of who barely speak English, and the arrogance of many of the office staff. Anytime I have a complaint or concern, they just sweep it under the rug, along with all the other dirt. Totally unprofessional! And with the outrageous tuition costs, you would expect a heck of a lot more quality personal & staff! Most of these people are just totally arrogant. My advice...Don't waste your time or hard-earned money here at Daemen...go to a school that actually cares about their Students success!!!
