I am going into my junior year, andQuite BrightPolitical Science
I am going into my junior year, and I live on the Rose Hill Campus. All I want to say is that Fordham has been the greatest experience of my life. There is NO place I would rather go to school, and I never want to leave. I've been home for the summer for five days and I'm homesick for FU. The friends I have made are amazing, the people are awesome, the social scene is incredible. Bars are so fun, but the education is also top-notch. It is definitely at "work hard/play hard" environment. We never stop! The neighborhood has so much personality and character, and we are located in the greatest city in the world. 42nd St. is just a 17 minute train ride away! I would say that this school presents amazing opportunites to all its students, and can be the best four years of your life.

Question
Positives:English
Positives: Large, bucolic campus (87 acres) with beautiful gothic buildings. The only campus like this in NYC. Easy access to Manhattan, so the best of both worlds. Jesuit intellectual tradition even though few of the profs are Jesuits. Good professors, because many of them are drawn to NYC (not drawn to Fordham, specifically, but this is another way Fordham benefits from its location). Strong liberal arts and humanities. No Greek organizations, and most students live on campus, so it's a true academic community. Stong religious life on campus with the University Church full at masses and an active retreat program.Negatives: While great for liberal arts and humanities, not the best place for science and engineering. Little student diversity; most are Irish or Italian Catholics with some German/Polish/Bohemian Catholics. Most are from the Northeast with some from the Midwest; I felt like the only Southern WASP there. Not actually in Manhattan, which is sometimes inconvenient, but probably best for one's studies. A lot of drinking, but that's probably true for most schools.

I don't know whatSuper BrilliantBiology
I don't know what all the hype was about Fordham. I don't know how some professors made it here. They are way too self-absorbed pieces of hell and are unapproachable. The core curriculum serves as a means to butcher your GPA plus the deans are really arrogant.
