Overall, I had a great experience at Fordham.Quite BrightAccounting
Overall, I had a great experience at Fordham. While no school is perfect, I couldn't imagine having a better undergraduate experience anywhere else.

Pros:
-I met great friends who I expect to have for life.
-My dorms were all wonderful.
-Small classes.
- Accessible professors who for the most part (I had three duds)ranged from good to truly outstanding. Every one of my profs. knew me by name.

-I got into an amazing grad program after doing well at Fordham.
-Campus is beautiful.
-Access to Arthur Avenue and Manhattan is great.
But as I said, no place is perfect
-ResLife rules are ridiculously strict in terms of visiting friend's dorms and lead many to move off campus. You learn how to get around the rules a bit, but it does get annoying.

-While I was always busy on weekends, the school should have more on-campus weekend activities-- it depends too much on people going off campus and to Manhattan for fun.

-Food quality isn't as good as it should be. I've been to other schools where Sodexo does the food and it was much better. Not sure if Fordham doesn't pay as much or doesn't demand as much for food services as other schools. But I had a kitchen the last two years so it becomes less important as time goes on.

-The core could be a little more flexible.
But overall, a great place. I wouldn't trade my years here for anything.

Question
Fordham is a great school with a lotAccounting
Fordham is a great school with a lot of different opportunities as far as majors. I did not know much going into the college application process and probably could have gone to a higher ranked school. Fordham is becoming a national name but for now is still rather regional or only known by those who go to other Jesuit schools.

Question
Even though this is mainly a negative review,Not so bright
Even though this is mainly a negative review, I have to say fordham is good academic school. The class sizes are great to take advantage of professor office hours and student interactions. However, with that being said, the people suck here! All everybody does is go to bars on weekends and basically hibernate on the weekdays. Mind you too that bars are in the Bronx--they are sketchy for the most part. Yes, it can be fun once to drink the surrounding area of the Bronx is NOT the place to walk around drunk in. At least one person you know who goes here has been involved in an incident with someone in the Bronx. We get security alerts about muggings weekly--if not more. It you do not go out and feel uncomfortable with the area, you WILL BE SHUNNED! If you don't go out you have no other choice but to sit in your room. The people here come from money and most have a real attitude. The people for the most part are unattractive, but they're popular and have tons of friends because they get belligerently drunk almost every night in the BX (Bronx). PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE
