Honestly, the best four years of my life. I have made friends that will last me a lifetime and I am still in touch with many of my favorite professors. Classes are small and prepare you for the real world. Every professor is willing to help or just chit chat during their office hours which is an amazing asset. The campus is beautiful and the isolation I think fosters a strong campus environment. Also the education has landed excellent jobs for myself and my friends in many fields from biology to wealth management.

I love Hamilton. It's as simple as that. It's a wonderful place and I've made friends and memories here in the past couple months that will last a lifetime. Coming from a public school I was worried about the whole "private school thing". The truth is that there are a lot of boarding school kids here, really rich kids here, people wearing "Nantucket red", and some of these people aren't worth knowing, but most are. Don't judge a book by its cover cause you'll be amazed by a Hamilton student. (We're just full of surprises!)

There's a lot to love about Hamilton. The professors are awesome, the open curriculum is practically a godsend, and the people are amazing. Another thing I love is the diversity. People think of Hamilton as a primarily white school. But, YOUR Hamilton doesn't have to be that way. I chose to make friends with a great variety of people from all backgrounds and from countries all around the world. Hamilton can be as diverse as you want it to be.

The only negative is the drug scene on campus--particularly alcohol. It's upstate NY, there's not much else to do. The school tries, but there's just something appealing about getting really wasted. That being said many of my friends don't drink and they get a lot of respect for that decision. Also, I find that the close knit community here (and at other liberal arts schools) can be a tad overstated. You won't know everybody, you don't say hi to people when you pass them, etc. but that being said I can't walk out of my dorm without seeing someone I know and someone I will say hi to. Hamilton is what you make it. Be outgoing, be nice, be you, and you'll have no problem fitting in.

Hamilton is an amazing school! I went there and do not --at all --regret it. When I was there, I had so much fun, learned so much, met a ton of amazing people, and grew a lot as an individual. The only two negative aspects about Hamilton are its surrounding city and weather.
