| | Quite Bright | I have a unique situation, because I commute from nearby and don't have to pay tuition. So, although I'm not having the traditional college experience, I've found Herkimer to be pleasantly surprising. The teachers are (mostly) very nice and knowledgeable, there aren't too many strict guidelines they impose and they are all generally accessible. If I had a problem in my classes, all I had to do was talk to them about it and the issue was resolved easily. College is supposed to be a challenge, and my course load isn't very stressful, but the faculty does their best to make it easier on the students. Herkimer gets a bad rap sometimes, but I've found it to be clean and friendly for the most part. It really depends on the attitude you have and the effort you're willing to put out. Of course a teacher isn't going to want to accommodate you if you're lazy and arrogant, it's common sense, so give respect here and you'll get it in return. In my one year, lectures have been interesting and informative and I haven't been overwhelmed with useless work for the sake of it. I'm glad I'm here for now, it was a good start so I can transfer to a bigger school later. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Surrounding City: D | | | |

| | Quite Bright | The school is pretty from the outside but on the inside it's very bland! ugly, and old looking, aside from the modern and nice looking addition to the bookstore and library. The school is very secretive and never lets students know when free activities are going down or they won't mention that you have to pay! Every activity that I have tried to go to they get you with that 5$ entrance fee. There are clubs however the 3 that I joined to nothing but sit around gossip and eat lunch. Students and Teachers at this school are very interested in food and free stuff. The school will do anything to keep as much of your financial aid as they can. Also don't live on campus unless you want to get stabbed, raped, held at gun point, beat up, or want to join a gang. The school doesn't show any pictures of what it looks like with snow but I assure you there is a foot of snow at least from october-mid april, also our school likes to put kids in danger and never gives a snow day. | Useful Schoolwork: A, University Resource Use: F | | | |
