When I visited the school for open toursQuite BrightUndecided
When I visited the school for open tours and accepted students day, the faculty and upper classmen made this school seem awesome and lively. The truth is, everyone leaves on the weekends and everything on campus is closed all day. Honestly this was a huge mistake to make because there are only very cliquey groups of like ten people and you basically can't hangout with anyone but your roommate. You'll find yourself doing absolutely nothing every weekend and week night after classes. The people who work here hate it, and the people who go here are mostly only here because they commute and its cheap, or they have a full ride or are on a sports team. Theres no parties or events on weekends, and you only have friends if you are on a team or if you are snobby and cliquey, just dont waste your time on this school.

Question
Very difficult to workQuite BrightAccounting
Very difficult to work with administration, often given wrong information from young student staff. signing contracts with no forgiveness. careful taking their money or locking in housing costs. look elsewhere very expensive.

Question
Iona is basically a community college.BrightEnglish
Iona is basically a community college. For starters, you're classmates won't exactly be the brightest or most passionate people . I had a class where the same 3 people came in ten minutes late. The class average for our Sociology 101 midterm was a 67. This was a goddamn Sociology 101 class! there's nothing to do in the surrounding area (there is literally ONE bar in vicinity of the school), clubs and greek life are practically non existent. If you didn't go on social media, you'd have no idea we had any clubs. The school is also very unhelpful with regards to getting information out about Internships. I only found out about a NBC Universal internship from a Twitter retweet. The food is......well it's shit. The only good food place in the area is Westchester Taco, and they just recently stopped accepting the meal plan. One positive note I will say is that there were definitely a few teachers who genuinely seemed to give a shit about what they were teaching. These teachers deserved a much better audience than the students at Iona. As I said before, Iona was basically a community college, and no one should be paying thousands for that type of education.
