Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I just found this site and am surprisedBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I just found this site and am surprised by the negativity. While I won't profess that Iona College is perfect, Iona definitely cares about its students. The college seeks student input into its plans (building, programs and other things). I attend the student government meetings and know that the college is raising more funds for student scholarships and for faculty support. The residence halls are crowded but I?m glad they are building a new one. The faculty and administration are very accessible and present on campus.

Students here are veryAverageUndecided
Students here are very trashy, only two bars so not very fun. Yet classes are easy as long as you get your work done, which is not a lot.

I am a Senior Accounting student and IQuite Bright
I am a Senior Accounting student and I am one of the few minorities in the Accounting program (there are about 5 of us). I was a B student who never studied and I thought I could do the same in college, I was wrong. College is what you make it but once you enter your major 3XX classes teachers get worse, tests get harder, textbooks more complex and time moves faster. I'm happy our old dean is no longer the dean, he was a good guy but just a poor teacher overall. The new dean is more helpful and seems to be moving the program into a different direction. Iona College is expensive but the business school is very good. I cannot imagine going to Iona to study anything else. College is what you make it and you will be doing a lot of self-growth, learning on your own and thinking if you join Hagan. The students are cool, I feel there is not one person here that has come from ANY type of struggle which is a good thing if you do, in fact, come from struggle. Every employee, not including the teachers, are pretty helpful and do seem to care about individuals. The population is becoming more diverse and the new President comes off as a great person that will truly better the school as a whole. Before you come, please be aware that if you do not have a fake ID... your fun will be pretty much nonexistent. AOB : you can contact me.
