I wish I could scream this from theNot so brightNursing
I wish I could scream this from the rooftops to avoid this school at all costs espeically for the nursing program. These people do not care about you and tell you to basically shut up and respect everyone else because they have a higher degree than you. If you would tell someone that on the street they would laugh in your face. You have no control over your own schedule or professors you chose. One person controls schedule enrollment and this person is pure evil. Another administrator called this woman evil and she is untouchable because her mommy is a higher up at the school. RUN AWAY FROM THIS OVER PRICED GHETTO SCHOOL A 2 YEAR COMMUNITY COLLEGE TREATS YOU BETTER THAN THIS GARBAGE HOLE

Question
For a piece of paper.AverageOther
For a piece of paper. this school costs a ton! if you come from a middle class family make sure you are able to pay either out of pocket or take out loans. Fafsa/Pell can only help you so much. some how you will still end up short.. they say they offer scholarships but when you ask for help its suddenly the dumbest question asked! && every semester the cost rate goes up. and certain programs do not tell you how much you have to pay for its program until you don't register. Online it will give you a break down of prerequisites but it will never give you the break down of how much One semester is really worth.. (21k just a semester... for every 1 credit its 1000k, so if you plan to take a 4 credit class.. make sure you have 4k handy)

Question
This is regarding the nursing program for LIU.BrightNursing
This is regarding the nursing program for LIU. The clinical sites were not stimulating. I was not able to learn and perform the basic skills needed for a nursing career because most of my clinicals were assigned in nursing homes instead of an actual hospital. Most of the staff in the school of nursing are extremely rude and unhelpful. They treat you as if you are inferior to them. Many of the professors are unable to teach well, and will not give extra help if the class requires it. During one of my semesters I did not have clinicals at all because LIU did not take care of clinical sites before the semester began. I was forced to make up these clinicals during my winter break, and had to take off of work to do so. Liu does not post the professors teaching the classes before classes begin so I was unable to take the professors I wanted to. Many of the professors, and advisors that worked in the school of nursing when I began my nursing career 2 years ago have now quit. They have many new professors teaching nursing classes and have completely changed the curriculum forcing students to take classes that were once not required to meet a certain amount of credits. AVOID THIS SCHOOL AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT TO BE A NURSE. Not worth your time or money.
