Before I enrolled, I did stumble across this website and I was honestly worried at first; could this school be so? After enrolling and falling in love with the school, I am extremely saddened that such a school has conjured up such negativity on this site. I have spent nights at other universities across NJ and NY; I even attended their classes where I could out of curiosity and for plain fun. I hear all my friends' inquiries about their schools and I am glad that their inquiries are rare at LIU. A lot of people seem to dislike the school because they are usually from out-of-state and come here seeking the full college experience; giant fields of kids laying out and studying, frat parties, and similar ambiances you find in college movies. LIU's Brooklyn Campus is in Brooklyn, New York. It is in the capital of the world; fun of all kinds is literally everywhere. If someone does not learn the New Yorker ways, they will find themselves bored quick; if someone is bored in NY, they are bored everywhere. Faculty is amazing, since it is a small campus, they learn your name eventually, and treat you as if their jobs depended on your satisfaction, as if I was their boss (after all, we do pay tuition which pays their wages). Teachers are ridiculously informed and diverse, you'll find one to suit you. I can go on forever but please, do not base your opinion on anything you read online; I learned that the hard way.

I learnt alot attending LIU. I excelled in my work and had a nice graduation. The one thing I like about the school is the diversity. I had some outgoing roomates even though I didn't do too much with them.

The security guards were very nice and helpful but they didn't do their jobs, cause my summer room mate left her man in our rooom the entire day. Clearly against the school rules.

Some of the students were nice, some were cut throat. I decided that I won't return for Pharmacy because the students trying to get in were very cut throat. The campus is in the heart of Brooklyn. You have access to alot of stores etc. Great place to gain alot of experience.

Well, i like it here at LIU im not going to front its not perfect but what school is? yes, sometimes its a hastle to get through finacial aid or bursar, but mostly when you wait last minute. With nursing you have to stay on top of your game becuase other wise you will be totally lost! its in downtown brooklyn so the campus is really nice looking for where it is. some students are really cool and some are super cluquey but that's everywhere, i still made alot of good friends.I had some good profressors and some bad. but overall i love the city its convient for me i can spend more time with my boyfriend and his family. theres tons of store around and you can find anything you could possibly need. sucurity is tight so u feel safe.its a small campus and private so you see the same faces alot. i lived in the dorms its ok the bathrooms were horrible but only because some girls are really funky!!besides that it was straight, spacous and you get a fridge and microwave. elavators are slow sometimes and people pack on in the am like it dont make sense! my RA was real cool. oh yea and the cafe food will have your tummy tore up only thing i like is breakfast. over all LIU is a pretty good school just to experince it for yourself and not go by what people say, everyones opnions are diffrerent. i think for what we pay we should get more! but if you like the city and are use to new york then u shouldnt have any problems.
