ALthough it was quite different from my previous school (much more traditional and straight-edged classically oriented), I learned to love all the positive aspects. The piano faculty (i am a pianist) and theory/composition faculty are unbelievable, and the small environment allows you to get to know these people without being a number. All in all, mannes really is a nurturing environment with a great educational experience. The only down side--it does not, in any way, prepare you for the reality of trying to be a musician in new york city. Education Quality: A+, Extracurricular Activities: D Have a Question? It is small so people who don't know about music schools don't know about it (it's not named Julliard) but the music education is great. Education Quality: A+, Campus Aesthetics: D Have a Question?
