I think Marymount is an amazing little school if you are an artist of any kind! If you are not into big cities, or making new friends, then you may not like it. Students who do not enjoy MMC are students who go home every weekend and do not try to meet new people. If you are outgoing and love exploring NYC, you will love MMC. There has been a lot said on here about the overwhelming number of gay boys. It is true, and that is something you should know coming in. There are seemingly endless gays everywhere. That being said, we are a lot of fun =)

Horrible teachers...unless you're a dance or theater major don't come here. My grades dropped tremendously within the first semester transferring in..the teachers don't teach.

I think that many people who have negative comments come to MMC and think it is going to be a regular college campus experience. If you decide to come to school here you need to understand that the school is in the middle of New York City so your college experience will be different.

Being in the auditioned musical theatre program I have a built in group of friends. Some of my roommates came to MMC and really did not know how to make friends therefore they are unhappy with their choice to come here. I think it is harder to have a social life if you do not find your group of friends early here at the school.

Living in the dorms is not great. They are expensive and they give you no privacy, but after the first year I plan to move out with friends.

If you want great theatre training and want to live in NYC then this could be the place for you.
