Quite Bright
MVCC is a two year community college. I found out the hard way that their so called "accredidation" is worthless and that 4 year schools that you want to continue with don't accept most of their credits. As a result, I am entering Drexel University as barely a sophomore and not a junior as you would expect upon graduating from a community college. This has cost me thousands to catch up in summer school and an entire year out of my life. BEWARE!!!

I am VERY disappointed with MVCC. Thee are far better colleges in the Utica area and many are just as affordable. There are professors who are absolutely wonderful but there are a few who ruin it for everyone else. I suggest taking Boces' program for medical assistant since MVCC has lost Sue Bice. She was a terrific professor who truly cared for her students. The individual who replaced her, Jamie cuda, is worthless and incompetent. The director of the department, Nancy Caputo should be fired, she is the epitome of incompetent. MVCC will I expect suin lose its accreditation with AHIMA (if it hasn't already) and is under investigation for seriously high drop out rates and low graduation rates with nursing and allied health programs on a state level. If considering nursing as a future try SUNYIT or St Elizabeth's. AVOID MVCC you WILL regret going there.
