When I started Nassau CC.PreMed and Medical
When I started Nassau CC. in 1980 I went in as a simple minded selfish boy that was dependent on family. At Nassau I saw how people of all ages were trying to build a better future for themselves. They had to work all day to support themselves and then could only go to a few classes a week to get credits. At that rate it would take 12 years to just get a BA. Somewhere along the line after some time at NCC I had an epiphany. I realized that it was time to grow up. I realized that if it were to be it was up to me. I can see in my mind's eye exactly where I was on the Meadowbrook parkway on my way to a final at NCC when I changed 180 degrees. I straiten up my act got my butt in gear and started on a course of hard work, success and giving back to others and loving it. I honestly believe it had something to do my instructors and my experience at NCC.

Question
I didn't know anything about life before IBright
I didn't know anything about life before I went here. All I knew was that 'Nassau was referred to as the thirteenth grade. Though after 3 semesters, I found the "thirteenth grade" Nassau Community College was the best decision of my life. The teachers will help you, but you have to put the effort in if you want to do well. People who are in high school pretend they are so smart because they aren't going to 'Nassau, but they are actually kicking themselves by not going here. Making friends is a little tough here because there are many antisocial people so it can get very lonely. Compared to a private college though talking to people about real things is easier. Though money-wise, if you are unsure of your life and want to find a place where you can find yourself Nassau Community College is a great place to go.

Question
At first I really loathed this place, INot so brightEconomics
At first I really loathed this place, I mean I was really closed minded about going, but after spending a year their I realized it's a community college! Nassau Community College is just a stepping stone for bigger and better things in your life. So expecting a top notch here isn't ideal, but don't get me wrong it's a good school attend. NCC mathematics and english department is amazing. The professors really helped myself and other students work out our kinks in our essays and learning ability to make us betters students. The professors really do care and want to help you and besides it's a cheap school so your not going to be schemed out of your money. As for the student body, well you'll see every type of person here. NCC is diverse with ethnicity and type of person, so yeah you could say there are a lot of students who go here (around 22k to be exact). There are only a few negatives like the president of the college all of the english professor want him out of there, they really protest and everything it gets serious. Also the food isn't all that heathy so off campus should be a must! Finally the library needs to be remodeled, it has a very gloomy feel to it. Other than that NCC built a new science building and it is looking good for the science majors future. NCC is good school to get your college career started.
