New York Institute is a good school inBrightComputer Engineering
New York Institute is a good school in terms of academics. The classes are straightforward. If you know the subject and study, you'll pass the exams and quizzes. However, social life is terrible. There isn't much to do. If you don't have a car, you'll be bored. There aren't many clubs and the basketball gym isn't that nice. If you are strictly for education, then you'll like it but the chance of you continually being bored is high. I thought of myself as a boring person before moving in, but now i know its real meaning. It makes me think that stony brook would have been better, since theres more things to do and its cheaper. I probably won't be dorming here next year. The dorm and the campus with the classes are not together. You have to take a shuttle bus in order to get from one to another if you don't drive or dont want to waste gas money. It gets kind of annoying. Also there are no restaurants on campus- no burger king, mcdonalds, or anything, just the school cafe, which closes weekends. Overall, this school will get you your degree, which should be your main priority, but fun is not around here.

NYIT Old Westbury is an ok school.BrightCommunications
NYIT Old Westbury is an ok school. There are no dorms on the OW campus, so all students who want to "live" on campus have to take a 45 minute shuttle bus ride from the Central Ilsip campus every day.

The westbury campus is pretty, but boring. There's not much to do, the SAC is useless, the Dining hall (Salten Hall) is amazingly crowded. The sports teams are pretty good though.Still, if you're coming to have a ton of fun and party, NYIT OW is not for you. The work isn't very challenging, and the professors are all pretty helpful.

NYIT is a come and go school.BrightComputer Engineering
NYIT is a come and go school. There is little to do and most people are bored around here. The tution is high and you dont know where your money is going into. But this school does give a lot of majors. Most teachers are interesting. Overall your life wont change coming here but tou can come out with a decent education.
