Well first off I'm a small town girl, so going to Syracuse was a big change...I didnt like how there were so many students, the classrooms were small but everywhere else was over-crowded...I dont think I would have minded if I commuted because I would have been from Syracuse and liked it. I lived on campus and res-life sucked...met some good friends there but i'm not going back. They fined me for cleaning the bathroom? Really, do they need money that badly? I do have to say I liked a few professors I had, and if you reading this and go there, deff. Take sociology classes with Prof. Zane he is one of the professors I will miss. As well as Prof. Lauer for Public Speaking. If your lucky you will get DeLuccia for Music, though I think she is just a sub, she worked at SU and is the sweetest grandma you could imagine. Watch out for Eisele for english comp, and you better be a pro if you take Place's lit class. For Psych dont take Vasek, shes crazy and talks about her pet spiders! Okay so yes there are some positives mainly just the few profs. I mentioned. A few more negatives...People at OCC flaunt SU merchandise left and right, and its the same people who you just assume didnt get into SU so they go to OCC hopeing they will have a chance, when they are just the slack offs of a OVER sized Syracuse school, whose lived as just a number not a person. The bookstore is TERRIBLE, I worked there while I lived on campus. The only decend person that works there is Lea. Once again if you go there and have any questions for the most part ASK FOR LEA. Shes been there the longest and is the sweetest, and most funny person. As for the ast. manager..Woof dont talk to her shes very moody. So for you who do decide to go to OCC good luck, and for the rest if OCC is your only option, think again there are a lot of four year schools you could probably get into and you just dont know it, thats how I was. So go to a four year and get on the right path, and chances are OCC will not be that path.

This college is fantastic! The professors are extremely knowledgable and friendly. They want you to succeed not only in college but in life. The students are also friendly and are more mature then average. The college itself is very clean and welcoming. There are many activities throughout the year to get involed in. Overall, Onondaga is a college is designed for students.P.S.I really do wish OCC a four year college.

Overall this school is good. That being said like all other community colleges it is still just a stepping stone. It is here where the school needs improvement. I've had more luck with teachers talking about where to go from the school than with administration. Everyone who's not a teacher here seems to be in it only for the money. Still you will get some horrible teachers, but as far as the media teachers are concerned top notch. Tony, Mark, and Mike are some of the coolest teachers I've ever had. The works hard but fair and renting out cameras or finding editing time is easy. You will not like ENG but it's only one class so not too bad. I fully recommend this school.
