This college experience is all about what YOU make it. I worked my ass off - therefore, when I graduated with flying colors, I had the credentials to get the job I wanted. Those who sent out one or two resumes and heard nothing, felt dejected and blamed Pratt. Do the research, find out who the good teachers are, and your experience will be worth EVERY PENNY. you have to work for it.

If you want to fight to get an education...come here. You have to fight not only yourself (as your body constantly begs for sleep), but also the administration as they lose your paperwork, forms, and money. The teachers are good, but the administration fights you all the way and it's a miracle if you graduate on time.

Pratt is not for everyone to say the least, it requires an open mind, a very good work ethic and sacrafice both of time, and sadly health. The work load can be at times grueling but the students for the most part do things whole heartedly because they came to Pratt for a specific reason, and if that means no sleep and little food...well. There is some really mind blowing work going on, and the staff is great and there is something around campus that sucks you in as a student and makes you wamt to be a part of what ever is going on. The run down buildings give the school character, unlike the monochrom, monotone, monolife neveau art schools popping up around the country.I suppose pratt is a school for a purist, and you can only get something out of pratt if you make something out of pratt.
