Super Brilliant
Considering the severe negative of the weather, the city of Troy, the cost, and the lack of social development (i.e. no dating)... RPI is not worth it.

I didn't realize just how "not worth it" it was until I left and met people who had gone to other colleges. They had many more "fun" times... a lot more dating... a nicer environment... and often a smaller debt load (if any).

And, even if starting salaries are good for RPI grads...
compare them 5, 10, 20 years later -- that edge QUICKLY wears off.For the strengths that RPI offers, it is not worth the long-term effect of the minuses. You can always go on to grad school later -- but you only get one shot at 18-22 years old.
Preparedness: C-, Reputation: B-
