Do your research.Aerospace Engineering
Do your research. Make sure you explore all areas of a school, even things that don't seem important will matter later. Make sure you concider location/climate, size, surrounding area, # of students, new facilities, etc... College can be a very exciting and fruitful time, or your worst nightmare. You can always transfer if you need to, but its best to do 4+ years at an institution to fully benifit from what the school has to offer.

RPI is a poolQuite BrightAerospace Engineering
RPI is a pool of vast educational resources, but you will fight tooth & nail to get them.In a "tough love" sort of manner, RPI teaches people to be stronger, independent, and self reliant. You'll recieve first rate training in overcoming bureacracy, navigating paperwork, and fighting apathy.

Question
RPI may look good, but looks can beQuite BrightAerospace Engineering
RPI may look good, but looks can be deceiving. I really only know one or two people who actually like it here. The people here don't socialize. There are no girls. What girls there are, are infected with RIBS (ratio induced bitch syndrome). This truly does exist. Kids for cliques that are very isolated. Everyone splits up and goes to party at a certain fraternity/sorority and for the most part don't recognize others at the school. I am pledging Theta Xi Fraternity, and honestly its the only thing thats keeping me here right now. If you don't go greek at RPI, you are a loser basically. I'm not saying its a bad thing, because its a lot of fun. It's hard work and makes you think you can do anything, but RPI in general is depressing. I've never really been depressed in my life until now. I'm an Aeronautical Eng. major and right now I just want to quit and Join the Air Force to be a fighter pilot, damn their vision requirements. Oh well, I'll give it another shot next semester...
