Question
I completed RPI's MBA program and it wasMay 09 2010Business - Management and Administration
I completed RPI's MBA program and it was terrific. It is exactly the program I was seeking, the hard science experience and perspective of business. I still recount my experiences with students and teachers to this day. I will never forget some of the professors. Statistics in particular was excellent because the professor knew how to make the student understand the concepts so clearly. Incredible. Some of the happiest, most productive and useful years of my life. 5 stars!
Question
I attended RPI's ISP and it was aMay 07 2009Business - Management and Administration
I attended RPI's ISP and it was a great experience - socially and academically. There were some bumps in the road but since it was it's first year could you really expect them to pull it off without anything going wrong? Now I finished my degree with them. The classes during the time weren't terribly hard but they definitely catered to those who were working full time while taking classes which could lead to a lot of take home exams. Overall it has been a good experience. You make or break your schooling - if you don't like it then go some place else. If you're not getting the help you want - find someone who will help you.
Question
Poorly managed, poorly organized, and wholly unconcerned witNov 21 2008Other
Poorly managed, poorly organized, and wholly unconcerned with student's careers and post-collegiate employment. My experience with RPI seriously set me back for years, and burdened me with an unreasonable amount of debt. STS especially is lacking in a real-world, let's-apply-that-education atmosphere. Go for a poly sci degree at a public univeristy, and you'll be getting twice the value at a third the cost.
Question
School politics are suffocatingMay 20 2005Architecture
School politics are suffocating. If you don't play the game, you're denied access to info, software, faculty. Faculty consumed by their own sense of superiority. They are rude and unsupportive.

Its a great place to be. Some of the research are done in collaboration with other schools like MIT, Cornell etc- an indication that RPI is among the best schools...if MIT is considered number 1.Some of the current investments in biotech and empac are pushing the school forward to rebuild its image and prestige of being the oldest engineering school in entire North America.
