I graduated in 1984 and immediately went to a top 20 MBA program. While in graduate school, a professor commented how great St. Bonaventure and how underrated the school is.I loved my time there, and the campus was not nearly as nice then as it is now.

St. Bonaventure was fantastic.Communications
St. Bonaventure was fantastic. I could not have asked for a better experience, style of educational learning, community , and friends I made. My only regret is not taking more art/graphcis classes as electives. And I should have worked for the campus radio station. I have a passion for music, but was afraid to be live on-air. Now I do radio interviews and TV interviews regularly as a spokesperson for my clients. My highest recommendation for college students at St. Bonaventure is to do a couple of different internships so that you get some real office experience on your resume. Anythign that you can volunteer or just minimal pay is enough to get your experience on your resume. There is nothing better when you are looking for a job than to have some office experience. St. Bonas prepares you for all of the social skills and education you'll need, but to have an edge to land a job, the interships and practical experience can't be beat.Above all enjoy your college experience. My four years at St. Bonas were probably the best 4 years of my life.

SBU was a great place - great school;Sociology
SBU was a great place - great school; classes; professors; students; campus; location. That is to say - for me. I wanted a small, Christian, friendly liberal arts school close to home (Upstate New York), and I got that. At the time I was there, SBU was just starting to catch up with the age of computer technology and was only so-so competitive (according to a very competative person). The campus atmostphere is remarkably friendly. The professors are great and very interested in working one-on-one with you to personalize your education. It's in a small town, which has pros and cons. If you look under a few rocks, you'll find lots of fun stuff to do - both party and non-party orientated. I'm actually very jealous of those going there now, as SBU now has a very active social action / social justice program - something I'm very interested in. SBU is Catholic in the Franciscan Tradition, which comes through in the emphasis on service, but you don't have to be Catholic to attend, or to enjoy it (I wasn't!). I have to say as for "reputation"...most people know the name from men's basketball (from the "good days"). Good or bad? I'm not sure. I went to an Ivy League graduate school and the name/reputation of that university helps me no more than the lack of SBU name recognition hurts me. I highly recommend!
