SFC is easy to get into, but the classes are challenging, and it gets harder as you go along, which is how it should be. There is no social life on campus, and student activities kind of suck, but you meet cool people and go out in New York. Hard to beat that.

I am a science major of Haitian descent. I transferred in from Long Island University due to the rising costs. SFC had a very HS feel to it, a large majority of the student body was extremely clique oriented. I will usually walk up to ppl and talk to them, but here such measures were usually futile. I found out a lot of them came up from HS together. It took awhile to find some true friends.

Some of the teachers are very condescending. I couldn't believe the verbal abuse that I was hearing. Shame on them especially because it is a Catholic/Christian school.

The science program was very small which is ultimately why I left. You have one teacher running 5 courses which is either someone's dream or nightmare. I didn't like the way it was run and felt I would prosper more if I left. So I transferred back to LIU.Ultimately college is what you make of it, there are positive and negative aspects to every school. These are my only complaints based on MY experiences. I just found some of them to be non-negotiable for me.

The school is well kept, and the faculty members do care about the students. They are a school which focuses on making you succeed in what ever your trying to accomplish. I am enjoying my time here and plan to make the best of it.
