Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I am a science major of Haitian descent.BrightBiology
I am a science major of Haitian descent. I transferred in from Long Island University due to the rising costs. SFC had a very HS feel to it, a large majority of the student body was extremely clique oriented. I will usually walk up to ppl and talk to them, but here such measures were usually futile. I found out a lot of them came up from HS together. It took awhile to find some true friends.

Some of the teachers are very condescending. I couldn't believe the verbal abuse that I was hearing. Shame on them especially because it is a Catholic/Christian school.

The science program was very small which is ultimately why I left. You have one teacher running 5 courses which is either someone's dream or nightmare. I didn't like the way it was run and felt I would prosper more if I left. So I transferred back to LIU.Ultimately college is what you make of it, there are positive and negative aspects to every school. These are my only complaints based on MY experiences. I just found some of them to be non-negotiable for me.

The school is wellAverageAccounting
The school is well kept, and the faculty members do care about the students. They are a school which focuses on making you succeed in what ever your trying to accomplish. I am enjoying my time here and plan to make the best of it.

I've just started my freshman year and loveNot so brightBusiness - Management and Administration
I've just started my freshman year and love my classes. The teacher really care and you won't get any TA's you get actual professor or dr.'s for all your classes. The classes are small and are geared toward preparing you for your career after college...that is why we all go to college anyways right?

Administration is pretty good too, they seem on top of things.
Social life, I have to admit, I'm not thrilled with..people come in big groups from there HS's so everyone pretty much has friends when they get here and meeting new ppl is not an easy task. Its a commuter campus and although there is racial diversity ,ppl are all pretty much similar...middle class, from Staten Island or Brooklyn. There are activites but nothing really stands out. Greek life is'nt big here either so its not the typical "college experiance" but if you make the most of it you'll do fine.I'm going to transfer next year but honestly only because the school does'nt have the reputation of say Emory in ATL or Fordham, etc and I want a big name school for my resume. I don't regret going here and do feel like I would be prepared for my future career so if you're considering attending, want to get a good education, don't care about the rep or socializing too much then I definitely recommend it.
