If you have money, love sports, and have an easy time making friends, Fisher is the place for you. I am fond of the food and some of the professors at this school, and the sports facilities are nice even though there is no pool, but overall I am not impressed. As a shy and unathletic person, I find it very hard to be happy. People care about their image here a lot. They get very cliquey, and won't give you the time of day if you don't look like a promising person to up their image. It is like a glorified high school. And its hard just to be yourself. The only good thing I can say about that is that if you are shy like me and find a friend you can be yourself around, you can almost guarantee you've found a friend you will keep.

If you like sports and working out, you probably won't be too bored, but otherwise its very hard to find things to do. Non commuter Freshman can't have cars and its very difficult to get off campus. You can take the rte bus, but its very sketchy and confusing and I don't recommend it. The study abroad programs are good if you are looking for that, and the campus is always very clean on a high note. I gave Fisher an honest chance, but I'm not happy here. Definitely check it out. A lot of people love it here. It's just not for some, so keep all of this in mind.

Not so bright
Everyone on here is complaining about this college and giving it bad review only because they wine about not having a social life. The fundamental reason why anyone should go to college is to get a degree so they can go somewhere in life not spend all their days partying and looking for ways to get drunk/ laid. The campus facilities are nice enough as they are now. We even got a new renovated library entrance which makes the campus look bigger. The bus passes are free as well so to freshman they just have to make sure they make it on time to catch a bus to the local Wegmans. Any college you go to will NOT allow freshman to have cars; this is a true fact.... now if you are commuting then you can have a car (go figure).I do agree though that some people here (students) are very ignorant, rude, and fairly unapproachable however, there are other students on campus who are more than willing to open themselves up and meet new friends. The professors here are wonderful and they always welcome you into their office for help anytime you'd like, just shoot them an e-mail. They are very helpful and very nice. Chemistry at this college though is tough so make sure you find time to get some one on one with your professor. Oh, and the majority of tests are not open book. Actually, no test that I have taken are open book. So, if you are going for a popular major, one that will get you some big bucks/ a science major, like biology or chemistry, there are no open note book tests and the chemistry homework is very very tough. Make sure you start that early and don't put it off to the last minute. If you're looking for diversity there's not much of it here though. I am an Asian American and I do see other minorities around campus but not many.
