Not so bright
School is terrible! There was some parties at the beginning of the year then after the first couple months the weekends consisted of friday- Daisy Dukes bar saturday- easy on east. Kind of boring. Cabs cost 40 to go anywhere in the city or simply $4 a person each way which definitely adds up. Everybody knows everybody and everybody knows eachother's business, its like high school all over. Im from out of state and people were suprised to hear of somebody from out of new york its ridiculous. Too close minded and no diversity, race, nor geographic diversity. would never return.

This is a terrible college, I would not recommend it to anyone. Everyone here comes here in their already made groups of friends because they all come from the surrounding high schools. It is impossible to make new friends because all of the people here are rich and arrogant. Everyone who comes here their education is paid for by their parents money and have no idea what it's like to live in the real world. As for social life, terrible. Freshmen are not allowed to have cars, buses only run here until 6:30pm, and taxis cost $40 to go ten miles, and more expensive than that if you have more than one person. So pretty much the only thing to do here is sit in your room or walk across campus and eat fried food with everyone else who doesn't have anything to do on the weekends. As for classes and faculty, not challenging at all. Majority of tests and quizzes are open book, hardly any challenging homework, a few 3 page papers and thats it. Many professors don't really know what they're talking about and prefer to spend class having you sit in groups and talk about your feelings. They say this is a great college to come to and it's so easy to get involved in the many clubs..it's not. So if you're looking for a school that has extremely easy classes, not so smart professors, no social life whatsoever, and snooty, arrogant people, Fisher is the college for you.

If you are looking for the typical college experience involving the freedom of living on your own and being able to go out and have fun every weekend DO NOT COME HERE.

I didn't really attend Fisher for long enough to get a feel for the academic value of the school, but the social life was severly lacking. Freshmen are not allowed cars and there is nothing happening within walking distance - so unless you were friends with upperclassmen you were left on campus to either just hang out and make due or drink in your room - which would get busted 100% of the time if there were more than 3 ppl in the room. The rooms were minuscule in the wing i stayed in and most ppl were tripled up... They also have you take prerequisite classes that dont transfer to other schools if you do decide to leave. Also the student body is about as diverse as the 'preps' and 'jocks' you went to highschool with.

On the bright side Fisher has great athletic facilities... Pretty good food, and alot of fun intramural activities..

If you read this and none of the negatives about it bother you then Fisher is prob the perfect school for you.
