Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I did not like St.BrightFine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
I did not like St. Johns. Thankfully, I am transferring. If you came here to study to be in New York, go someplace else because it is in the middle of nowhere. If you want to be babied and still need to feel like you're in high school, by all means, go to St. Johns. Public Safety is nice, but the rules they have to enforce are over the top. My classes were ok, for the most part. Studying abroad was great, the laptops are ok. They spend all their money on the basketball team and the church. Don't expect much of your tuition to come back to you. With finances, they are stingy. If you owe them as little as one cent, they will freeze your entire account. I felt like, for what I was paying, I should have had more available to me. I was bored. Some of my classes were very good, but most were mediocre. If you don't care much about having fun, being challenged, living in a bustling area, or you are a republican, go to st. johns. You will fit right in. Plus, most of the people are so lame.

Question
I am transferring OUT of St.BrightBiology
I am transferring OUT of St.john's after only ONE semester, I WAS MORE CHALLENGED in 9th grade!! this school is the biggest RIP OFF EVER!!! its ghetto!! BORING, NOTHING GOIN ON on campus EVER , the teachers suck , they're mean and RIDICULOUSLY unhelpful and arrogant ,the dorms look like the projects yea sure theyre fairly new but the poor student body that's allowed to reside there has RUINED them , financial aid and bursar are the biggest A-holes!! they dont care about ANYONE all they care about is your MONEY!! its soo hard to make friends there because everyone is so DAMN CLICKY!! YEA SURE its in NEW YORK CITY big WHOOP!! GO TO NYU OR ADELPHI OR CW POST OR HOFSTRA EVEN but dont go to SJU YES it used to have a good reputation but all it's doing is exploiting it's once good name , THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS SCHOOL!!! maybe the pharmacy program thats impossible to get into if ur not a freshman cuz 95% of kids straight out of HS know what they wana do with their lives , but transfer students with college experience and have an idea what they want as their major ARE NOT allowed in , and yea good law school .. other than that... the student body is HORRIBLE ,all they care about is the athletes and give away money if your poor which they got totally carried away with , but if your parents make a decent amount of money and youre just an average person they wont even look at you , theyr thieves and i hate that school , i wasted 14000 last semester and I'm getting the HELL OUT OF THERE , im going to NOVA Southeastern UNIV in Ft.lauderdale , to be in their PHARMACY school , my transition has been SO smooth and ppl there are so friendly and do everything for you!! do yourself a favor if you're considering SJU , look elsewhere there's plenty of other good schools in NYC and surrounding area. YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TRULY REGRET IT~!!! if you have any questions my email address is pls dont hesitate to write me , bcuz belive me this school is Sh*t.

Question
St. John's University is a well respected CatholicQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
St. John's University is a well respected Catholic University and will always remain that way. Its location is very influential on how the overall university, student body and faculty body are. The students tend to be very cosmopolitan with the typical hotheaded attitude of NYC outer boroughs being visible as well as some faculty and administration.

The students come to class mostly by means of commuting and fill up the parking lots fast, which creates a fight for a spot occasionaly. (PS Dont be late for class due to parking they do not accept that as an accuse and they will hurt your grade by it. leave early to park.) Most students I notice are very click orientated and tend not to associate with others from different parts of the Metroplitan area and out of state students. Making new friends can be difficult for the average student due to the overwhelming locals who attend. Below is a series of pros and cons I put togather about St. Johns if your considering it: (based on my experience of attending SJU)

PROS:
1. Great school for Pharmacy, Liberal Arts, and Law School.
2. Great athletic facilities and sports.
3. Nice dormitories. (appx. 20%live on campus)
CONS:
1. Arrogant aging faculty and administration that are unhelpul.
2. Tobin School of Business, very unorganized and professors are weak, many are adjunct. NYU,Baruch Coll, Pace, Hofstra Universities a better choice in the NY area for business. or up in boston Northeastern is great.

3. Parking
4. Social Life
5. Career Opportunity and employment not promising. ANY QUESTIONS,COMMENTS,INFORMATION ABOUT SJU FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME AT
