Binghamton is a great school that provides many academic and social opportunities. The weather can be annoying at times but overall it is not a problem. The nightlife is fun and downtown provides a good place to go on weekends. The city is small and can get repetitive but on the bright side most things are half the price they would be in a big city, and there really is always something to do. Binghamton is a great place to go to school.

I came from out of state worrying about the weather and a new environment. While the weather is cold, coming to Binghamton was the best decision of my life. The students are friendly, the social life is great and I am getting a quality, affordable education.

Binghamton is a great school, especially considering that you are paying the SUNY price. It was never my first choice when deciding where to go to college, but I couldn't be happier with my decision. The city itself if certainly not beautiful, but it is very inexpensive to live and has everything that a college student could ever need close enough to the school. It's cold but they do a great job maintaining campus walkways and roads during the winter months. When the sun comes out in the spring, there is no happier place to be then on the Binghamton campus where everyone comes out of the woodworks to picnic in the sun.
There are so many options when deciding classes, from lectures to small discussions. Some subjects are boring, but I'm sure my boring classes were just as boring as they would have been at any other college. I had great experience communicating with my teachers and learned very quickly that if you put in the work, the teachers recognize that.
Really any college experience is what you make of it. I loved it here, you can't go wrong with Binghamton.
