SUNY Cortland is a great school! You really get what you pay for in both an education and the college experience. Classes are challenging yet manageable. Students are provided multiple eating arrangements and the dorm facilities are both cozy and social. Students are provided with many opportunities to to get involved in either sports, clubs and even internships. Food is great, gym facilites are great and the campus is beautiful in the fall and spring seasons. Winters are quite gruesome but that doesn't stop students from enjoying themselves on the weekends. Night life is a lot of fun and there is always something to do. I really recommend this school to students that want everything out of the college experience along with a great education.

SUNY Cortland is a very good school for certain departments. I know that the Kinesiology department, which I am currently in, is one of the largest and most well-organized academic department. Yet, there are some departments which thoroughly lack efficiency - I have heard to avoid the Math department, as well as the Physics department. The bottom line is, if you would like to attend this school for a health-related major, then I would highly recommend coming here. Personally, I do not drink or smoke - I find the activities to be dull, and quite frankly a waste of my time. Drinking is huge at this college, and there were four reported sexual assaults in one month on campus. My intention of presenting this data is to educate whoever may come here to be prepared to be on your toes at all times - I make sure to walk my girlfriend back to her dorm every night. The use of money is somewhat efficient, but I feel that there still needs to be some re-working of the budget. Projected construction plans estimate that the college will double in its size in the next five to ten years.
