Oneonta was a life changing experience for me. I made life long friends, received a top flight education, and have been succesful in my business life. When I went to Oneonta, it had a "party school" rep, which was deserved only if you wanted to partake in that lifestyle. I went to the school in the late 70's earl 80's when there were many more bars and the drinking age was lower, so there were more oppurtunities to party. The weak minded and non serious "students" fell prey to their predispositions. Most of my friends at school had plenty of fun but did plenty of work, and most graduated after 4 years from Oneonta, or went on to other schools to get their degrees.

The campus was beautiful, and still is. I go back once evry year or so. The surrounding area is also beautiful. Be prepared for long winters for sure, but the late summer early falls are beautiful, and spring is beautiful too. Plenty of clubs and intramural sports to get involved in.

So the bottom line is take your schooling seriously, and you will get the most out of your experience at Oneonta!!

Good school, does get cold and you have a lot of hills to walk on but you get used to it. There's a great night life. Not too many things to do during the day on the weekend, that's when most people get work done. Always activities going on at res. halls, easy to get involved. Also a strong greek life atmosphere
Education Quality: A+, Faculty Accessibility: B-
