UNY OSWEGO DESCRIPTION

The State University of New York at Oswego, with an enrollment of over 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students, offers more than 100 major, minor and certification programs through the College of Arts and Sciences as well as through a nationally accredited School of Business and School of Education.  A diverse range of programs from accounting to zoology includes numerous interdisciplinary options.  The college's learner-centered focus encourages lessons inside and outside the classroom with an emphasis on participant-directed educational opportunities.  Over 1000 students participate annually in internships and Oswego sponsors one of the largest overseas study programs in the northeast w/ students studying across the globe – Oswego students see the world!

The campus is located on a picturesque 700-acre residential setting of unparalleled natural beauty including one mile of Lake Ontario shoreline.  Conveniently located on the edge of the port city of Oswego, the college has convenient access to Amtrak and international airports located in 35 miles southwest in Syracuse, and 65 miles west in Rochester.
