Let's face it, though: You do not go to Plattsburgh to become a lawyer, doctor, CEO etc. It is good for what it is and will always be - a teachers' school. If you want serious academics or great success in life, transfer to U of Chicago, or Columbia U., or one of the Big Ten schools. Not Plattsburgh. Partying consists of drinking, smoking and thats all. Night life is a series of small bars. The surrounding down is awful and dull. Passport and lots of expendable cash is a MUST due to Montreal being so close and it being the ONLY thing to do. A far below average school that becomes boring and life-draining after a few months. They paid my whole way with a bundle of scholorships. It was good in the science department but campus ain't the best but not the worst. U-albany campus which is around the corner from me is worst.
