 | Bright | Go there if you need to, otherwise stay away from the ugliest campus and the dorms are unkept, and they are nasty and stay away from suites because they are NOT cleaned by the janitors. I wouldnt go there unless I was a dancer or artist..... ever. the professors think they know it all when they are all idiots and the TA's have no idea what they are talking about, so they arent helpful either. otherwise... white plains which is down the street has great things to do, and a good mall or two, and the people there are nice. I transfered after one semester. and watch out,,, cops are racist. very racist. | Innovation: A-, Education Quality: F | | | |

| | Super Brilliant | The Performing Arts Center brings intrnational music, theatre and dance to campus every weekend, and is not to be missed - this is the high point of a college. the campus is remote, ugly and very, very cold most of the year. the theatre arts are very cut-thoat and competative, not a supportive environment in the least - and not intended to be. some profs are amazing, others it's amazing they got a job. just hope you get the good ones. New York City is 40 minutes away and fun on weekends if you have the funds. | Perceived Campus Safety: A-, Collaboration/Competitive: F | | | |

| | Super Brilliant | Purchase College was a great experience especially if you don't fit the cookie cutter, white anglo-saxon protestant mold. Generally, the views held by most students are liberal. Purchase is known as an 'artsy' school, having a large lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered population. The faculty at Purchase was exceptionally bright and talented (particularly in psychology and literature - those were my majors). If I had to do it all over again - I would at Purchase College.
