I'm an adult student who previously attended a Major University. SUNYIT is way more student friendly. No TAs teaching classes, never had a class with over 25 students. Great value for the money, they really push information about internships and summer jobs. I've been really pleased overall and reccommend it to anyone.

From my experiences, this college is the worst college comparing to other colleges that I have gone through and seen. Let’s start with the department, if you have an adjunct professor, good luck with that. Most of them cannot teach and if you ask them for help, they just tell you to keep on studying. Most of the time, they are in a rush to leave. In the exam, the professor tells you that these materials will be tested. However, when you take the exam about 85% what he/she said will not be on the exam. As for the full time professor, they will be there for assist except for the ones that does not speak proper English because you will not understand what the person is talking about.

The campus is small but most of the time you are unable to see the police unless there is a situation going on. The resources that provide opportunities for student are limited for certain subject. The major subject or any subject that student having difficult on will have the service of help. At the beginning of the semester, you will be able to see the trees and grasses. When winter hits, you don’t see nothing but white snow covering everywhere. The campus maintenance is very poor. When the snow is on the ground, they plowed ground when the snow is finish falling. By that time, the ground is a mess and very hard to walk on. The two bridges on the campus are maintained very poor. They would plow everywhere but these areas. It makes people harder to walk on and when the snow turns into ice, it gets very slippery. In the dorms, sometimes the shower does not have hot water. Sometimes in the morning, when I take a shower; there is only cold water. The toilet sometime cannot flush that well. The food is not the best thing you have. They try to make the place looks more colorful but food still taste just as bad. The hours are open different times. From Monday to Friday it opens from 8:00 to 7:00 at night. Then in the weekend, it opens from 10:00 to 2:00 and reopens at 4:00 to 6:00.

The I.T. Service is very poor. (This is the place where you go when your computer is having troubles or need assisted with any technology). This college is called SUNY IT and people expect this place to be updated with their technology and know what they are doing. But instead, their services are poor and they give out basic advices. Most of the time, they do not know what they are doing.

The social life here is very sad. There is none social life. The events here are very poor and not a lot of people would come. Our money is getting wasted or going to other people pockets. Most of the students end up in their dorms and sitting in front of their computer. There are not a lot of sport and clubs. The clubs are formed but no joins them. In the surrounding areas, there is nothing to do. The night life around here is very sad. The clubs and bars are not the great place to hang around here. The mall does not have lots of stuff and most of this area is surrounded by banks.

Overall, the dorm rooms are big and it does not compare to other colleges. There is lots of major in this school but this school system works differently then other colleges. This school was built in middle of nowhere and it is missing a lot of feature compare to other school. If I was to go back in time, I should not have came here.

do not go to SUNYIT, theres nothing to do on campus, the faculty are jokes, the classes are even bigger jokes, all the students do is sit in their rooms, there are hardly any decent activities going on, and if there are any, the students dont know about them, or dont go.
