Not only are the faculty self-absorbed and unhelpful but they make those qualities explicit to the world by establishing open forums for politcal bickering and in-fighting. Besides the regular incoherrent emails we get from various academic leaders, another recent example is this self-serving piece of sappy work: http://www.noconfidencenews.com/ Are we supposed to admire this kind of behaviour? Is this serving the students or the community at large IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM? Still, this institution has some brilliant minds and ideas at work and I continue to have faith in it's potential success.
