I made a lotAverageCommunications
I made a lot of great friends and recieved a good education at syracuse. The communications program is top notch. however i found a lot of the students to be spoiled rich kids, the snow is just NONSTOP, and the surrouding city leaves much to be desired.

Question
Wow these posts are about as accurate asQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Wow these posts are about as accurate as I have ever seen. I was a freshman management student for the 01-02 academic year and was always asking myself why we did the things we did. Do college students really need to spend time learning how to use PowerPoint? College students should already know this, but sadly many SU students don't posess such basic skills. The curriculum is more like that of a technical school than that of a college. The campus itself is quite beautiful, however, the surrounding city and social life is pitiful. "Oil city" says quite a bit. The girls are pretty much worthless, but SU does hold the record for the most concentrated mass of superficial, overly entitled, underly intellectual mass of students in the country. Smart kids baracade themselves into the Honors program and are always reliving their rejections from UCLA and Michigan. Poli Sci and communications is good, everything else is worthless. I left after my first year to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Question
One advantage to Syracuse is the extensive amountCommunications
One advantage to Syracuse is the extensive amount of alumni in the northeast. Being a triple major (TVR/Sociology/Psychology) and graduating from Newhouse has always been a good opener when academic background comes up. For communications, Newhouse has always been considered an Ivy. Graduating from Syracuse puts you in an above average group with the ability to find other alumni that may have some effect on your future.
