It has truly gave me the tools one would need to thrive after graduation. People there had a work hard/ play hard mentality and it payed off. You certainly cannot even consider Syracuse if you're going to just play. The work here is extremely difficult and almost everyone can attest to that. Thank God I took Ap and IB courses that placed me out of a few classes required for the core. The negative reviews that you read here are reviews you'd see at any other great college. Syracuse is truly a magnificent place for undergraduate study as it prepares you for life and academically puts you in positions in which you'd never thought you'd find yourself. Without question the experience, education and the continued presence of Syracuse in (not just mine but that of my family) our lives has affirmed why it is such a special place. It pays back in ways I cannot quite describe. I know it feels weird to take a bit from the nest egg, but Syracuse is the reason my parents saved up in the first place. They want to give me something I wont forget. And it was well-worth it. Education Quality: A+, Surrounding City: B Have a Question? It's everything you can ask for in a University. Syracuse University provides what a college is supposed to provide for students. Challeneging academics, a beautiful campus and school spirit makes Syracuse worth coming to. Sure academics can be a pain but would you settle for anything less? You're trying to get prepared for post-graduation right? I will deny that there are super-rich, preppy, prep-school kids, snooty and kids who gloat about their intellegence here at SU but you are sure to find that any school that boasts many top programs.
