I attended for my freshman and sophomore year before deciding to transfer to another university. I only went because my program was considered good. But the people are the typical long island/NJ JAPS who only care about brands and are very close minded. The school is big into greek life. It is hard to have friends or a social life if you do not get involved in a sorority or a fraternity. And the weather can be really bad over the winter. Its always dark and grey. The only time the sun is out is for the first and last months of the school year.

Coming from the south and knowing that they respect their spirit programs such as the Marching Band, Cheerleaders and Dance Team you would think all college would be alike. But Syracuse has no respect for their spirit program. In fact the students are so arrogant that they seemingly hate it. All the students care about is their parents money, having the best clothes and drinking. This school needs to respect people who cant afford school and not give money to students who are only their to become a pro-sports player. The school needs to wake up and stop caring about its own money and care about the students. Its not even a safe campus since its right up against the bad parts of town and people get robbed almost every night. Do not go to this school if you want to be respected. Its a school full of kids who are lazy and live off their rich parents.

I had a hard time making friends, not because I'm an outcast, but because nobody here can have fun without being fucked up and stupid. I guess technically that would make me an outcast though, but whatever. It's not the school itself, it's the PEOPLE. The students are all rich, arrogant, greek-life douchebags. If I could've chosen a different school I would go somewhere with absolutely NO GREEK LIFE. My roommate joined a fraternity and during pledging he would come back to the room every night plastered and puking and making the room smell like vomit. Then they act like they're in a high class secret society when they refuse to talk about what goes on at the frats. I'm going to assume butt sex with all the bros. I'm here on a full-scholarship, and that is the only reason I haven't left, because I'd feel bad about giving it up. but damn i can't take it anymore. if things don't change after next year then i'm out.
