Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Utica college is primarily made up of studentsQuite BrightEducation
Utica college is primarily made up of students from NYC and the surrounding towns in Utica. These people can be friendly but for the most part, everyone is very cliquey and they don't hang out with people outside of their racial group. The social atmosphere is very much like high school all over again so if you thrived in that setting, and are from NYC or the surrounding towns of Utica, come here! If that doesn't sound like you, I would strongly suggest taking your money and going somewhere else.

Utica College builds itself up on it's sport teams and their successes but in reality, they are all awful. Their Women's and Men's hockey teams would be the only exception on a good year. UC will throw so much of their money at the sports teams and their programs but their teams have shown little improvement despite the amount of money they get. The new sports dome was only put up to attempt to draw in new athletes to better their teams, rather than putting in the effort to find decent coaching staff to get these athletes to improve.

The staff at Utica College is very friendly and welcoming but the professors at UC are not. Most of them could care less about the individual students and are rude and condescending to the students. A few of the professors are great though, and are genuinely interested in their topic they're teaching, however the chances of getting these professors are small as there aren't many of them.

The dorms are not great, most are falling apart in one way or another. The hotels that UC rents out and uses as dorms are in pretty run-down shape but at least you have a more private space and more control over things like heat.Utica College is far more expensive than what it is actually worth. If you are considering this college, be prepared for an underwhelming experience, despite what your college recruitment officials tell you.

Question
If from downstate NYBrightCriminal
If from downstate NY do not consider going to this school. You will be treated as an outsider and a second citizen. This school is all about appearances. There is zero substance below the surface.

Question
The amount of sexual assaults that have takenNot so bright
The amount of sexual assaults that have taken place is extremely high and many cases that have been reported are swept under the rug along with the solicitation of drugs all throughout campus. The president will do his best to pay you off and sweet talk you to keep quiet about what you know. Reputation is everything here
