I'm a freshmen this year at Wagner, and without a bias against the college itself, it is not worth going to. ALTHOUGH THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO EVERYBODY, the financial aid office will question every last detail of your private life. I had to go into the details of a very uncomfortable divorce.

CONS (Beside the financial Aid): If you are mature enough to care about the education, it is WAY TOO EASY! If you can imagine a staten island stereotype mentality, they cater to it. This is probably because a huge percentage of the students who go to Wagner are from Staten Island. They are usually (Not always, some are okay) very lazy, they complain, are spoiled by mom and dad, and don't appreciate their education.

SERIOUSLY BAD CON! This school is not really a school; it is more of a business. They see each student as a dollar sign. You pay for everything, and chances are you may not know it because it comes up as a learning expense on your bill. THIS IS THE ADMINISTRATION, NOT THE PROFESSORS. They also make you do experential learning which does nothing but waste your time, and your money.

-The dorms are really small, and you can not party on campus at all! THERE IS LITEARLY NO PARTIES ON CAMPUS, you need to go to a BAR and spend more money...I would rate the party scene as this school as less than a 4. You can drink, but it's not going to be a party, it will be with your friends only.

-IF YOU ARE A THEATRE MAJOR, YOU WILL BE HAPPY (MAYBE)...some hate it, and IF YOURE A PHYS. ASS. THAN YOU WILL BE IN A GOOD PROGRAM, OTHERWISE IT IS EASY AND DOES NOT CATTER TO YOU. STUDENTS WHO DID YOUR FELLOW MAJOR AT A DIFFERENT SCHOOL WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE THE UPPER HAND.

-they say that the school is in the city...this is a lie, staten island is about 40 mins away from manhattan, and by the time you make it to the city and go where you want to, you're a good hour away.

PROS: I made the best friends ever, which was kind of rare. I know many students who didn't make friends. Like i said, if you're a P.A major, this is one of the best 5 year programs in the country (even though there are only a couple of them). The food is pretty descent compared to other schools, although everybody complains about it. It is a nice looking campus, but they invest way more money in their lawn maintance than their students...My French teacher and my english teachers were LITERALLY THE BEST EVER. IF IT WEREN'T FOR THEM, I WOULDN'T HAVE EVEN BEEN ABLE TO TOGGLE ALL THE BAD ASPECTS OF WAGNER.Honestly, overall, I would say this school is definetly not worth it...They trick you when you go for accepted students day, and they blatantly lie to you. Do no listen to the answers you get...LOOK THEM UP YOURSELF. The SPORTS TEAMS ARE HORRIBLE, but they get the most attention regardless. UNLESS YOU ARE A 5 YEAR P.A. MAJOR DO NOT GO TO WAGNER...GO TO ANOTHER COLLEGE. This is the worst college; honestly, do not go here!!!

I am a freshman completing my first semester of Wagner College. When I visted the school, I was convinced I would love it, but coming here has been TERRIBLE. The work itself is fine, and the faculty is usually helpful and accessible, but this is far more of a high school than it will ever be a college. People are cliquey, hard to talk to, and incredibly arrogant.

My roommate and I also had a completely horrid experience when attempting to communicate with the Dean's office- a situation in which she and another girl were completely blameless got twisted around to the point where she and the girl were being punished and the real offenders were left scot-free.

Additionally, if you're looking for a school with a fun social life, this school is not at ALL the place to be. Granted, we are on Staten Island, which is close enough to the city, but nobody leaves the campus on weekends and if they do it's only to return to their surrounding homes. Overall, boring and unsatisfactory. I'm leaving. As soon as I possibly can.

Complete waste of money. The education I received at Wagner was horrible. The faculty in my department did not care about most students. Plus, school has horrible reputation - i am constantly embarrassed when i have to state my alma matter.
