Wells is an amazing school, but it's not for everyone. It takes a certain kind of person to go there and enjoy it, but if it fits you, then it will be the best experience of your life. I've made the best friends I've ever had there and learned more there in 9 months than I ever have my entire life. Wells is a campus full of over achievers--everyone is taking a full class load, involved in extra curricular activities, has a job, plays sports, etc etc. Aurora, the town we live in, is very very small--about 500 people. But if you like small towns, it's great. Wells is definitely not a party school, although there are plenty of frats in Ithaca, about half an hour away. People do drink and smoke pot on campus, but it tends to be more of a small, hanging out with friends thing than a huge, raging party thing. Women there are very sexually expressive and empowered, and it can be a lot to take if you aren't used to strong women who don't take no for an answer. I think that going to a single sex school is a great opportunity for women and it really empowers you to succeed and compete with males in the world. Wells is a great school, but I would definitely recommend that anyone thinking of going there should visit it for at least a day or two before deciding, because it's something you have to see and experience to understand.

Quite Bright
The campus is beautiful - old ivy-covered buildings, unique architecture, lots of green trees and plants, and it is located right on gorgeous Cayuga Lake. The college offers a wonderful education, has terrific internship opportunities, and a really good study abroad program. The only downfall I see is the nightlife / party scene. If you want to find a party, you'll have to travel to nearby Ithaca College or Cornall University. The campus and surrounding village of Aurora are very small, and while perfect for swimming at the lake, going for a run, or going out for pizza or ice cream with friends, there is not much to do after 6 PM when everything closes.

The school doesn't give you the best social life, but you learn to make your own fun and sports teams help with having a social life.
