Sort By: [Date] [Major] [Rating] History/Histories (art history/etc.)  Major Salary, Salary Trend, Satisfaction, Unemployment Quite Bright Well, BGSU Firelands is just a branch of BGSU, so I suppose it would be unfair to be too harsh about their lack of services or classes. I will say however that it is VERY hard to try to get enough classes to fill the supposed two years you're supposed to spend there. I am a History major (mostly because BGSU doesn't offer my first or second choices...) but even so there is a very limited amount of history classes offered. So the result is you spend 2 years basically taking required stuff that you have to "get out of the way" instead of starting to focus on your major, if it happens to be anything other than Nursing, which they seem to be very big on there. Also, they can't do anything to help you with the foreign language requirement either, so I'm going to have to cram 4 years of a language into 2 when I get to main campus. But, it's not all bad. The professors I've had are great for the most part; really nice people, approachable, and mostly seem to genuinely like what they do, which is a marked contrast to what I've heard about some of the "big name" professors you get at main campuses who pretty much ignore you. The campus itself is kind of "middle of the road." It's in Huron which is right off the highway but the area the school is in is really rural. It's also a commuter only campus so theres obviously nothing to do when classes are over, ha. But they are working on trying to create a nice outdoor area to make the place look a bit less like a mass of bricks and cornfields. There are some nice ponds and trees that are part of the campus that you can go relax at, and word is they're trying to expand this area even more... though of course it'd take about 50 yrs for it to become a true arboretum.
