I had a decent experience at Cincinnati State, but it's definatley not one of the greatest schools. They don't always have the students in mind. Some professors are great, but others are unprofessional. If you have trouble with school this is a good place because it's not hard, but many of the students really don't care about their education and will never graduate. The flexible class schedules are nice. I wouldn't reccommend it for most people, but I also wouldn't say it is a terrible school. I had to go through some bull, but I graduated with my degree in 2 years.

I am an adult student, who has returned to college after 20 years. I feel most of the instructors at Cincinnati State have a great deal of knowledge in their particular field of expertise. There were only a few instructors that were inexperienced and horrible teachers. My problem was with the department heads. There are a number of wait list for different programs, which is unacceptable for a two year college. They seem more concerned with passing students through the program, whether they fall within the program guidelines or not. Cincinnati State used to have an outstanding reputation, but their reputation is declining rapidly. The new president of the college only seems to be concerned with parking problems and will not respond to the concerns of the students. Last time I checked the students pay for their education and deserve to be heard. I am highly considering transferring to a better University in the fall. I would not recommend Cincinnati State for anyone seeking a career in healthcare. Go to a different college or university, because at Cincinnati State they only want your money. They don't care about the quality of students graduating.

I was layed off and am trying to better my chances off landing a better job. I am an older student (48). I am very dissappointed with the environment of this school. It is an out of control 3 ring circus. The campus police department is a joke. People blocking narrow thru ways with their cars, sitting in illegal areas, parking in handicaped spots w/o permits, car stereos blaring(there is a noise law in this city). In the halls people hang out and laugh and carry on while classes are being held - this is very distracting. The library is as noisy as any place on campus so don't plan to get any work done there. The worst offenders are employees. The one parking garage is supposed to be for students who bought parking passes but the gates are open in the morning allowing any one to park, whats tthe point. I am DEFINATLY looking to transfer to a school more serious about a learning environment.
